Paneer Tawa Masala


Ingredients~~


Cottage cheese (paneer), cubed 450 gm

cumin (shah jeera) seeds 2.5 gm

/ ½ tsp Black

Carom (ajwain) seeds 1 gm/a pinch

Capsicum, diced 120 gm/ ½ cup

Coriander powder 10 gm/2 tsp

Coriander leaves, chopped 15 gm/1 tbs

Cumin (jeera) seeds 5 gm/1 tsp

Garam masala 1gm/a pinch

Garlic paste 25 gm/5 tsp

Ginger juliennes 5 gm/1 tsp

Ginger paste 25 gm/5 tsp

Green chillies, chopped 2

Oil 45 ml/3 tbs

Oil to fry the cheese

Onions, chopped 180 gm/ ¾ cup

Red chilli powder 5 gm/1 tsp

Salt to taste

Tomatoes, chopped 180 gm/ ¾ cup

White pepper powder 5 gm/1 tsp


Method~~


Heat oil in a kadhai and fry the cottage cheese to golden. Heat the griddle. Add 3 tablespoons oil. When oil is hot add cumin and splutter. add the chopped onions and brown. add ginger and garlic pastes, green chillies, coriander powder, red chilli powder, white pepper powder, salt and carom seeds. Fry on medium heat. add chopped tomatoes. Fry till the oil surfaces. Mix in the cottage cheese, capsicum, garam masala, black cumin and cook for 5 minutes.


Garnish with chopped coriander and ginger juliennes. Serve hot with any bread. ~~
